DIY Christmas Noel Art

Merry Hi, Hi everyone!  Hello I Live Here’s Christmas post for today is a cute DIY Christmas Noel Art project.  Today I found a rather plain frame to dress up in burlap in bows, making a DIY Christmas Noel Art to display.

Just like the last piece of art, we kept it simple and classic.  Here’s how we made our DIY Noel Art:

First, we searched our local Michael’s craft store for the perfect frame.  I wanted a frame that I could add the Mod Podge glue and the Noel letters.  Here is a picture of all the things we used to create our DIY Christmas Noel Art.

Then, I took the Mod Podge glue and put on a piece of burlap with sparkle left from our last DIY Christmas Art project.

Once applied, I cut out the middle, and trimmed the sides.

Next, I glued on the metal corner elements to make the burlap stand out, and glued on our NOEL letters, and the wooden ornament into the center of the frame.

To finish the look of our DIY Christmas Noel Art project, I frame the inside with red/white and burlap twin, hot gluing as I twisted the twin into place.

At the bottom I made a simple bow with bells, adding the remaining white/red and burlap twine to the center and hot glued to the bottom of the picture.

This was an easy, under $10.00 project for Hello I Live Here.  We picked up everything on sale at 60% off at Michael’s.  This simple project took about 30 minutes to create – and the best thing I can use this DIY Christmas Noel Art at every Christmas if I want too.

Well that’s Hello I Live Here’s post for today!  I hope you are enjoying the DIY Christmas Noel Art project.  Have a fun Friday everyone, post

Make easy DIY Christmas Art that is fun, reusable, and amazing!

Happy Sunday everyone!  Hello I Live Here’s Christmas post for today is DIY Christmas Art! Yep, we are recycling some old frames from our basement decorator corner.  We kept the DIY Christmas art simple and classic using an ordinary black and gold frame and removed the old photos to add our own DIY Christmas Art 🙂  Because the frame is so versatile once you are done using it for Christmas, simply change that ribbon and add a couple photos of your children or grandchildren and continue using it year round.

Here’s how we made our DIY Christmas Art project:

First, we searched our decor area for the perfect long frame.  I wanted a frame that had two smaller pictures and I knew I wanted it to be black and gold.  After I found it I ran straight to my crafts table and got to work 🙂  I cut the paper on the back open, removed the inside cardboard backing by pushing back on the staples, and removed the glass, storing it for later use.

Then, we took out the two smaller photos, turned them over and used Mod Podge glue to stick down our cut out piece of burlap that has a few sparkles in it.

We glued two small black clothes pins purchased from Joann’s to the burlap to hold our new art.

Then, we painted a small wooden Angel and star (both purchased from Michael’s) –in red.

Once the angel and star dried, we clipped them under the small black clothes pins.

To finish the look, we used burlap and red and white twine we purchased from Target – The same twin we used in our DIY Joy Stocking Hanger post last night.  Once finished we hung next to our Christmas tree upstairs.

This was an easy, under $5.00 project for Hello I Live Here.  We had everything left in our craft room to use for this project, including the angel and the star (which I use as package tags when I wrap my gifts).  This simple project took about 30 minutes to create – and the best thing I can use this again after Christmas is over.

That’s Hello I Live Here’s post for today!  I hope you are enjoying the art projects.  Have a wonderful Sunday!!!
